Swallow in molded earthenware, hand-painted by artisans from Feira de Barcelos (Northern Portugal), to be fixed to the wall (central hole provided for this purpose) indoors or outdoors, or placed on furniture.

What I like

  • The best of Portuguese craftsmanship: real artisans, ancestral know-how, and ultimate care in manufacturing.
  • The different sizes available which allow for creating an assortment.
  • The central hole that allows these andorinhas to be easily hung on an indoor or outdoor wall.

Characteristics

  • Weather-resistant (indoor or outdoor use)
  • Hole for wall mounting
  • Size 1: 5x8cm
  • Size 2: 6.5x11cm
  • Size 3: 10.5x14cm

The swallow (Andorinha) is today an icon of national folklore and an object present in all Portuguese homes. It is used both outdoors on a facade and indoors on a wall.
