Small ceramic swallow handmade by Ana Sobral and equipped with magnets allowing it to be securely attached to any metal surface.

Features

  • Width: approximately 11 cm
  • Height: approximately 9 cm

Traditional Portuguese ceramic swallow, presented here in a hand-decorated version with traditional patterns from Northern Portugal. This swallow is made, in several sizes, to a very high quality, by a reputable Portuguese ceramic workshop that takes great care to respect the original shapes of the Andorinhas.

What I like

  • Impeccable artisanal quality.
  • The ventral hole that allows it to be easily fixed to the wall.

Want to know more?

The swallow (Andorinha) is now an icon of national folklore and an object present in all Portuguese homes. It is used both outdoors on a facade and indoors on a wall.

The swallow offered here is entirely handmade and hand-painted, in an artisanal way, in a small workshop located in the Alcobaça countryside.

Feel free to consult our blog post "How to use ceramic swallows in decoration?" which includes all the techniques and tips for fixing them to the wall.
